Roundtable Discussion & Candidate Forums

All accepted candidates and/or their mentors are encouraged to attend the discussion group with a focus on the evaluation section of the portfolios. The evaluation sets the foundation for the entire portfolio in terms of identifying and prioritizing the goals, as well as the contributing factors that need to be considered in the therapy plan. The data from the evaluation can provide baseline measures with which to create measurable and meaningful goals. The discussion may incorporate varying philosophies for working with stuttering, cluttering and other fluency disorders and how that may impact assessment decisions. We are all encouraged to share rationales for choosing certain assessments over other assessments, along with sharing specific research findings that bolster the evaluation section of the portfolio.

This event is not intended for the membership at large, other than mentors of current accepted candidates. If you have not yet applied to become a candidate, there will be a separate event in September for SLPs wanting more information and support with their applications.
