Roundtable Discussion & Candidate Forums

We will be holding a forum for specialists who are 1) currently mentoring a candidate for BCS-SCF; 2) have mentored a candidate in the past and want to do so again; and 3) those who have not yet mentored a candidate, but hope to do so in the future. 

We will present an overview of how to effectively guide a candidate through the portfolio process and answer your specific questions about mentoring a candidate.  We can also discuss reasons for why a candidate may be asked to rewrite certain sections of their portfolio by the review committee.  

Our goal is to support you and your candidate so that candidate portfolios lead to board certification and we can expand our list of experts to help people who stutter, clutter and present with other fluency disorders.  We also welcome your suggestions about how the ABSCF can further support mentors.
